Jerry Owenburg Joins New York Surf Soccer Club

Top Long Island Boys Premier Coach now part of New York Surf’s Suffolk County Coaching Leadership

NEW YORK, NY May 31, 2016 — New York Surf Soccer Club is pleased to welcome Coach Jerry Owenburg to the club’s Suffolk County-based coaching leadership team. Coach Owenburg joins New York Surf from Intense Soccer Academy (“ISA”) where he was Associate Director of Coaching and led the formation its boys program and was responsible for the formation of all of the boys teams currently playing under the ISA banner.

Coach Owenburg previously spent 5 years coaching at the Long Island Rough Riders including serving as the Summer Select Program Director and currently serves as a coach in the ENY State Olympic Development Program. In addition to having tremendous soccer coaching experience, Coach Owenburg also brings his strong educational background to the club as he is currently an Assistant Principal at a local high school.

Coach Owenburg will coach two Suffolk County-based NY Surf boys teams during the 2016-2017 season. New York Surf is holding Suffolk-based tryouts this week and next week and interested players can register at www.nysurfsoccer.org.
